Musical Notation As Art
Posted on 06. Jul, 2007 by Robert Rose in Uncategorized
So, I ran into this wonderful blog – which is dedicated to "examining the current role of software and generative strategies in art and design"
A post there turned me on to this other, extraordinary blog that presents archive images from old books. They have old diagrams, maps and just a huge amount of really cool old images. As Generator.x put it, "all told, it is a delightful image resource for anyone with even a slight sense of the magical."
In any event, there was a post there that I just fell in love with.. It was on the visual context of music. Basically it was a presentation of odd visual forms of musical notation. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
